The first phase of AFR100 mobilized widespread political leadership, catalyzed pilot implementation projects, and began to track progress. Building on this success, AFR100's partners work together to restore land by building strong and inclusive partnerships, delivering finance, and providing technical support for local restoration champions. The strength of AFR100 relies on this diverse talent. This section highlights how members of this network are coming together to scale up forest and landscape restoration across the continent.

AREECA
With the goal of unblocking the barriers to large-scale restoration in Africa, the AREECA consortium brings the strong technical expertise and ample experience of leading institutions to the task of large-scale landscape restoration in Cameroon, Kenya, Malawi, and Rwanda.

Forests4Future: Giving Forests a Future
The "Forests4Future" aims at restoring the ecological and productive functions of degraded forest landscapes and enhancing good governance in the forest sector. The inititiave combines landscape and forest approaches, highlighting the special role of forests in rural development in the context of food security.
Land Accelerator Africa
In 2018, World Resources Institute (WRI) and Fledge launched the Land Accelerator Africa to support the African Forest Landscape Restoration Initiative (AFR100). In Africa, the program is implemented in close collaboration with the AFR100 secretariat, AUDA-NEPAD and Barka.
