Africa’s forests are more than landscapes—they’re solutions. They are living proof that nature, when restored and respected, holds the key to climate resilience, food security, and economic opportunity. Across the continent, communities are breathing new life into degraded lands—planting trees, reviving soils, and reimagining futures. This shared vision is the heartbeat of the AFR100 initiative, and from September 1–5, 2025, that heartbeat will echo loudly from the Radisson Hotel Tamboho Waterfront in Antananarivo, Madagascar, where the 9th Annual Partnership Meeting (APM9) will take place.

Convened by the AFR100 Secretariat and its partners, APM9 is more than a conference—it’s a catalyst. Over five days, leaders from government, civil society, the private sector, and youth movements will gather to accelerate restoration, shape policy, and unlock the kind of bold investment Africa’s landscapes deserve. With Madagascar’s own story of restoration and biodiversity as a backdrop, the meeting promises to inspire actionable commitments that move beyond promises into practice, driving Africa toward a greener, more resilient future.
