Event Description: MHub Malawi, together with World Resources Institute (WRI), invite you to participate in a Land Accelerator xMalawi seminar: “Your business: It’s personal - A two-day journey into building your business’s message, value and brand” as a part of the Modern Cooking for Healthy Forests Accelerator Program (MCHF).
20 entrepreneurs from Malawi will be selected to attend, and we think you are a strong candidate. Please complete the simple and short application form by 5pm on Wednesday, June 22 in order to be considered for this workshop in Lilongwe.

- Hear perspectives on YOUR business from a group of esteemed mentors and professionals from Malawi, East Africa and the United States.
- A pitch event and networking luncheon with social investors on Friday afternoon
- Opportunity to build skills that you will utilize to grow your land restoration business for years to come
- Exposure to the latest research on restorative business value chains that entrepreneurs are working on across Malawi
- An opportunity to receive one of three invitations to the African Union’s AFR100 Annual Partnership Meeting, which includes a pitch session to the delegates. The conference will be held in Zomba, Malawi on Thursday and Friday, June 30 and July 1, 2022.
Who should apply and ultimately attend:
- Founders of forest-friendly companies from Malawi
- Companies in Malawi that have already earned at least $2,000 USD in revenue in the past 12 months and are selling a product or service
- Companies that contribute to land restoration through one or more of the following ways
- Agroforestry
- Improving soil nutrition organically
- Organic pest management
- Non-timber forest products like honey, barks, nuts
- Sustainable timber management
- Avoided deforestation through wood replacements
- Other land-restorative business models are also considered
