2019 Beating Famine Conference

Beating Famine is a yearly conference organized in the Sahel to discuss about restoration, smart agriculture and regreening in general. This year in Bamako, Mali, the focus has shifted from building awareness of famer-managed natural regeneration (FMNR) and EverGreen Agriculture practices to massively scaling up landscape-level approaches to restoration. Participants from across the Sahel, along with financial and technical partners and representatives of governments, universities, community-based organization and civil society groups will come together to accelerate the regreening and restoration movement for food security and nutrition in Africa.
