Alors que le monde se prépare en vue de la Décennie pour la restauration des écosystèmes 2021-2030, le Centre de recherche forestière internationale (CIFOR) vient de devenir le nouveau partenaire technique de l’Initiative pour la restauration des paysages forestiers africains, AFR100. Un partenariat qui permettra d’assurer l’adéquation des activités de restauration du CIFOR avec le cadre de travail de l’AFR100, d’optimiser la collaboration et le partage des connaissances entre les deux partenaires et de contribuer aux objectifs de restauration de l’AFR100.

Organisation internationale œuvrant dans le secteur de l’environnement, World Ressources Institute ( WRI), est aussi un partenaire clé dans l’initiative AFR100 qui consiste à restaurer 100 millions d’hectares des terres dégradées en Afrique d’ici à 2030. Fortement représenté à la 4 ème réunion annuelle de l’initiative AFR100 qui se tient à ACCRA, WRI voit en ces assises, une opportunité favorable qui aidera les pays qui ont souscrit à cette initiative, de passer à la phase la plus importante du processus de restauration.
